FAMILY EXCHANGE
On the first day, both Polish and Italian students were incorporated into the classes of their partners and participated in their school life and daily routine.
The students spent time with their host families- they could get to know each other, visit the city and perform together different free time activities.
CULTURAL HERITAGE AND ACTING
The whole Polish-Italian-Spanish exchange team traveled by a coach to the region of Spain where the story of Don Kichot had originated from. We did a short sightseeing route following the characters of Don Kichot novel and had a guided tour at the historical windmill, which is still active once a month. We learnt about the process of grinding grain into flour and different kinds of cereal for doing bread and porridge.
Next, we travelled to Belmonte village, where we had an active tour at the magnificent 15th century Belmonte Castle. All of us were given some medieval robes to wear during the tour. The tour guides were dressed as people who had actually lived in that place and acted out the roles of different medieval characters - a knight, a king, a queen and others. The students were welcomed to participate in the play and acted out some medieval roles as well.
CINEMA : CHARACTERIZATION WORKSHOP
The students took part in a film characterization workshops, which had
been prepared by Spanish students of beautician vocational classes.
Polish and Italian students served as models for the the Spanish
students whose task was to do a professional film make-up. During the
workshops, which took place in the local cinema complex, we had an
official meeting with the representatives of the City Council in Cuenca.

The whole Polish-Italian-Spanish exchange team took part in the workshops at the Museum of Abstract Art. This was followed by a city game “Gymkhana”, which also took place in the picturesque old part of the city of Cuenca. The game involved lots of tasks connected with recognizing the elements of architecture, Spanish history, naming objects in English, story telling and taking pictures from a concrete perspective, all within a time limit.
