On Thursday the 9th of May, we had the opportunity to watch one of CLAM’s documentaries in the main Festival’s programme.
“Down n’hi do” was the title and the students watched it in Catalan
with subtitles in English. It was very interesting because the film is about a
group of young adults with Down syndrome that go through the experience of creating
a film.
The documentary follows them going through a cinema course specially
designed for them and concluding with the recording of a short fiction film.
They go through the process of creating a script and a storyboard, learning
shooting techniques and acting.
After watching the documentary the students had the opportunity
to engage in a debate with the director Mireia Ros and one of the actresses,
Laia; one of the participants in the cinema course.
